2024 Lexus RX 350 sells several sporty & fun-to-drive cars, but the 2022 RX isn’t the only one. Despite its militant styling and available F Sport models, the RX is a great softie that boasts a smooth ride and two fuel-efficient powertrain offerings.
The 3.5-liter V-6 is standard, but you could upgrade to a hybrid powertrain that made 308 horsepower and did 31 mpg highway during our tests. The standard RX is a 2-row, 5-seat affair, but there is also an extended L model that accommodates up to seven riders in 3 rows.
Inside, the RX showcases a glamorous cabin using a multitude of technological features and premium finishes that are in sync with this compact luxury SUV segment. If you’re looking for the luxury of driving a smooth vehicle with a practical touch, the RX is a great choice, but there’s a lot more fun to be had than one of Lexus’ European rivals.
As an entry point to the range, the 2024 Lexus RX 350 can be had in either FWD or AWD & has a 295-hp V6 under the hood. This car uses 18-inch wheels and is equipped with dual-zone climate control & faux leather upholstery on the cabin.
The front seats are power-adjustable, and there is a power tailgate. The default infotainment system runs an eight-inch touchscreen compatible with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. Sound is channeled through a premium nine-speaker sound system.
2024 Lexus RX 350: Lexus RX 350 New Design 2024
Table of Contents
Lexus RX 350 New Model 2024 The world will continue very much despite the current coronavirus pandemic sweeping the world. While it’s too early to know when life will return to normal, automakers are still preparing future models.
Today, a major leak has been revealed thanks to AllCarNews on Instagram revealing what Toyota and Lexus have planned for through 2024. Some of the following have already been rumored but there’s at least one new vehicle we didn’t see coming.
The first Lexus RX 350 Model 2024, the next-generation Toyota 86, and its sister ship, the Subaru BRZ. Both are expected to debut in July 2021 and the 86 will be renamed the GR86. Power will come from a new turbocharged engine with a reported 255 horsepower.
Rear-wheel drive will remain, of course. Furthermore, the Toyota Camry will also receive a mid-life refresh that year, followed by the Avalon in. The next-generation Camry won’t be due until 2024.
Also in 2021, we will see a new Corolla-based crossover whose name has yet to be announced. One possibility is a Corolla Cross with production potentially taking place at a joint Toyota-Mazda plant in Alabama, which is still under construction.
As we previously reported, the Toyota Venza crossover will also return in 2021. Most likely, it will share a decent amount of components with the Camry, once again.
Moving on to trucks and SUVs, leaked reports suggest that the all-new Toyota 4Runner and Sequoia will debut for the model year. Both will share the next-generation TNGA-F Tundra architecture.
Sequoia and Tundra will ditch the 5.7-liter V8 in favor of the new twin-turbo hybrid V6. 4Runner will get this machine too. The redesigned Toyota Tacoma will arrive in 2024, but there are no exact details about it yet.
As for the Toyota Land Cruiser, it looks to be coming in later but unlike the current model, it will be an off-roader without a hint of luxury. In other words, it will go back to basics. Sweet.
As for Lexus, unlike the Land Cruiser, its LX counterpart will take an antagonistic approach to rival the Bentley Bentayga, which is powered by the same twin-turbo V6 engine.
In general, Lexus dropped all V8 instances at under $90,000. The all-new twin-turbo V8 will power the long-awaited LC-F in 2016. Also later that year, the ES & LS will receive a refresh. Surprisingly, the Lexus GS was replaced personally by the RWD sedan based on the Toyota Mirai.
Is the 2024 Lexus RX 350 a Good Car Before that, the next Lexus IS, last updated in 2016, will debut in 2021, followed by the new RX & GX in.
Lastly, the new Lexus NX will arrive in 2021 & will sport the TNGA-K platform using a total of 5 different powertrains & a new 14-inch touchscreen.
This is a lot of new coverage to take in, but Toyota and Lexus have a very militant new product attack on the road. We are impatient.

2024 Lexus RX 350 Redesign: What Will The 2024 Lexus RX 350 Look Like
Lexus is preparing a major model overhaul in the next two to three years and plans to add a new nameplate to its existing lineup. Three electric models will launch in the United States in 2025 but the long-running model will not be discontinued.
Instead, most of them will be fully updated and Automotive News has a new report providing early details on what’s to come.
The SUV segment will be more important for the Japanese luxury carmaker and is looking to introduce a new RX generation at some point next year.
The brand’s best-selling crossover in the US will use Toyota’s global luxury platform and will benefit from an upgraded hybrid powertrain. More importantly, it will get a new Lexus Interface infotainment, plus many improved safety and assistance systems.
The LX will also arrive next year using Toyota’s GA-F architecture and sharing many components with the new Toyota Land Cruiser. The focus is on improving ride quality and a wider range of available safety systems. It will be interesting to see what engine the new LX will get.
Last but not least, the redesigned GX will also transition to the GA-F body-on-frame architecture and will be heavily updated in terms of standard and optional technologies.
Lexus will use Toyota’s latest hybrid powertrain to make it more powerful and more economical when it goes on sale in 2024, according to the report.
As for the crossover’s UX, it’s going for a facelift in the year perhaps getting the Lexus Interface infotainment system and other improvements borrowed from the NX. Meanwhile, the all-electric crossover is expected to join the ICE and its hybrid sibling next year.
Will The 2024 Lexus RX 350 Be Redesigned
In the eight years since the last redesign of the 2024 Lexus RX 350, luxury SUVs have become increasingly competitive. The Lexus has been largely retained, and the redesign will bring welcome updates to styling, powertrain, and technology.
We don’t have any official information on Lexus’ plans yet but stick with Edmunds for an update on the 2024 Lexus RX 350 as we learn more.
Lexus teased four future models at the launch of the Lexus LF-Z Electrified Concept on March 30, 2021. One of Lexus’ upcoming cars is likely to be the Lexus RX, the next generation of the company’s BMW X5 rival.
Supporting the speculation is a report according to Automotive News, according to which Lexus plans to introduce the next-generation RX in the second half of this year a compact crossover that matches the width and proportions of the Lexus NX, which was then launched.
The low-slung sedan was the upgraded LS, and then came the restyled ES. Parked on the far left is an SUV that looks compact for a Lexus LX but has the highest presence in the room.
2024 Lexus RX 350 F Sport
The Lexus RX is a comfortable midsize luxury SUV. It is available in several configurations, with several different engines to choose from as well. The RX can be had with two or three rows of seating — the long wheelbase, three-row RX is designated as the 350L model.
So there’s the standard 2024 Lexus RX 350 and the 350L. Then there are the RX hybrids, available in the same two- and three-row configurations called the RX 450h and RX 450hL. Still with us? Good. The last Lexus RX was completely redesigned in 2016 and the eight-year gap between redesigns is quite long in the luxury SUV segment.
After seven or eight years, it’s common to see completely redesigned versions of most vehicles, and that’s why we wouldn’t be surprised to see a revamped 2024 Lexus RX 350.
2024 Lexus RX 350 F Sport Specs
Under the hood, the current 2024 Lexus RX 350 uses a 3.5-liter V6 that provides adequate acceleration, but many rivals use a more powerful and more fuel-efficient turbocharged four-cylinder engine.
While we don’t expect an all-electric version of the RX to arrive this year, there could be an updated RX 450h hybrid model to follow the redesigned 2024 Lexus RX 350.
The updated powertrain would be a big step forward for the RX, as well as the new look and new interior technology that comes with the redesign.
While we usually enjoy Lexus’ infotainment interface, things could be a little easier to use. For example, Mercedes’ MBUX system far outperforms Lexus’ infotainment interface in terms of ease of use, especially when it comes to voice control.
Rivals also offer better driver assistance. The RX’s adaptive cruise control, for example, is a bit slow to respond to road changes, while lane-keeping assist sometimes seems to lose track of highway markings.
The 2024 Lexus RX 350 is a competent luxury SUV, no doubt about it, but with a few important changes, the 2024 Lexus RX 350 could become significantly more competitive in the class led by the Mercedes-Benz GLE and GLE Coupe, Porsche Cayenne, and BMW X5.

2024 Lexus RX 350 Interior
Refinements to the interior of the next-gen RX can be profound, as in the Lexus NX. Customers can look forward to a sleek center console, a fully digital instrument cluster with a customizable layout, and the new Lexus Interface infotainment system with a 14-inch touchscreen.
The Lexus Interface is a new infotainment system developed by Toyota Motor North America. Packing five times the processing power of the previous generation, it delivers a snappy experience similar to a smartphone.
Cloud-based navigation, OTA updates, standard wireless compatibility of Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, newly developed virtual assistant with dual microphones, user profiles, digital keys, etc., are some of the important features of the new Lexus Interface infotainment system.
2024 Lexus RX 350 Interior Redesign
The Lexus RX may not continue in the two-row and three-line versions, as reports say that a new model could replace the latter (the Lexus TX). The next-generation model will likely use the GA-K platform that debuted on the Lexus ES.
On December 14, 2021, Toyota released a full teaser of the next-generation Lexus RX which almost revealed the exterior design a few months before the official launch.
This new mid-size SUV brings subtle design changes, especially visible at the front. Lexus designers have extended the RX’s hood forward to give it an aggressive, shark-like nose piece. The headlights are more curved, and the new L-shaped DRL cuts it.
The spindle louvers can split apart, as the teaser indicates the presence of a grating at the bottom as well. It comes full circle, as the spindle design started as a separate piece on the CT 200h in 2011.
The wheel arches inserted by the square design on the sides will set the next generation NX apart from the current model.

2024 Lexus RX 350 Sport
The last time Lexus came out with a completely redesigned RX SUV was in 2016. With the midsize SUV now past its seventh model year on sale, we expect the Lexus RX to be redesigned for the next model year.
A complete redesign will make the RX much more competitive in a mid-range segment that has seen some new arrivals and is completely redesigned.
Lexus hasn’t previewed the RX’s design yet, but we expect this SUV to sport a design similar to the completely redesigned NX that arrived for 2019.
We expect the Lexus spindle grille to be featured prominently on the front of the SUV and sit in the front. sharp headlights with the brand’s signature tick-mark LED lights. At the rear, we expect the SUV to receive updated lighting while maintaining the curvy roofline.
The three-row RX L should benefit from the same exterior design changes but will have a longer body to accommodate three rows of seating.
On the inside, we believe the RX will have a similar design to the current NX on sale. We expect this midsize SUV to come with a new dashboard that will see the infotainment system integrated into a single unit with the instrument cluster.
The center console will be slimmer with fewer buttons and dials. We also expect the SUV to receive better materials, improved dials in the instrument cluster, and better interior space.
As a completely redesigned model, the Lexus RX should come with new technological features. The current RX comes standard with an eight-inch touchscreen, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, Wi-Fi hot spots, six USB ports, and nine audio speakers.
Features available on the current RX include a 12.3-inch touchscreen, a 15-speaker Mark Levinson audio system, navigation, and a wireless charging pad.
While the RX is currently available with a 3.5-liter V6 engine producing 295 horsepower and an eight-speed automatic transmission, we expect Lexus to make some changes to the model’s powertrain.
Lexus could move to offer the RX with a standard turbocharged four-cylinder engine, like the one found on the NX. The current RX Hybrid has a 3.5-liter V6 engine and three electric motors for a combined output of 308 horsepower.
The CVT is standard with the RX Hybrid. We expect the RX Hybrid to get an update to be more efficient, as the model can take advantage of the same turbo engine as the rest of the lineup.
In crash testing, the RX is currently getting good ratings. IIHS awarded the SUV a Top Safety Pick rating, while NHTSA gave it an overall five-star safety rating. We think Lexus will match the RX with better headlights, which should help it get a better score from the IIHS.
Lexus currently offers the RX a list of safety features that include forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking, rear traffic warning, blind-spot monitoring, pedestrian detection, adaptive cruise control, lane maintenance assistance, lane departure warning, and traffic sign recognition.
Available features include a heads-up display, automatic reverse emergency braking, parking sensors, and a surround-view camera.

2024 Lexus RX 350 Release Date
It’s been seven years since Lexus covered the third-generation RX at the New York International Auto Show (NYIAS 2015). In November 2017, the company introduced the three-row RX L, and then, in May 2019, lent the car a neat facelift.
In February 2020, Motor1 reported citing an insider privy to the company’s product strategy that the next-generation RX would arrive this year (CY).
The timeline is long before the auto industry bore the brunt of the Coronavirus and semiconductor chips were in surplus, but it looks like the ETA is still in effect. We expect to see the new RX hit showrooms in the fall.
2024 Lexus RX 350 Price
